It is currently mid-May and some people might not be aware of the Special Offers running on the ProofwriteUK website.
Some are only available for a limited period of time, others are offers that run year-round.
Let's start with the current 'limited time' offer - For all customers seeking either book copy/line editing or proofreading (or any combination), there is a straight 20% discount on the already reasonable rates. I offer fixed prices per project (based on a free sample edit), so this is 20% off the final quote (plain and simple).
As mentioned above, I offer FREE sample edits on text amounting to approximately 1000 words. The advantage to you is that you get to see the amount of work needed to get your text to a publish-ready standard, you get to see how I work, and you get to begin building a rapport with your future editor. The advantage to me is that I get a better understanding of what's required (all manuscripts vary) so I can produce an accurate quote and timescale for the job. This offer is ALWAYS available (just ask).
For returning clients, there are a couple of offers. If you've previously hired ProofwriteUK for an editing project, you automatically receive a 10% discount on any future projects. Also, if you refer a new client to ProofwriteUK (who subsequently books one of our services), you BOTH receive an additional 10% discount on any future editing projects.
Finally, if you are looking for a Beta-reader, ProofwriteUK offers paid beta-reading reports at very reasonable rates (ask for a quote). However, if you subsequently decide that ProofwriteUK would be the perfect partner to edit or proofread your book, the price paid for the beta-reading will be deducted from any editing costs (effectively making the beta-reading FREE). This is a year-round offer.
